Governance of the NCFPD is provided by our Board of Directors with members elected to serve four-year staggered terms. Until 2020, members were elected at-large. North County Fire moved to district-based area elections begininng with the 2020 election. These changes were made to help strengthen the representation of the communities served by the District. There are five (5) election districts, with election districts 1, 4 and 5 to be elected in 2024 and election districts 2 and 3 to be elected in 2026.
